The Territory

Our house is located in Mandas, a little village in the central Sardinian hills. It counts about 2100 inhabitants, most of them working in farming. A long time ago, the Spaniards who were ruling the island, turned it into a thriving duchy, and the imposing houses of the historical center remind us of this prosperous time.

A narrow gauge train, the same one since the end of the 19th century, connects our village to Cagliari, the capital of Sardinia, and to the Barbagia mountains.

Mandas’ strategic location, right in the heart of the island, allows you to easily reach the coast and its stunning beaches (about one hour’s drive away) or the main archeological sites (Su Nuraxi-Barumini, about 20 minutes away) as well as the most beautiful natural parks (The Giara de Gesturi, 20 minutes by car, or Aymerich Park in Laconi, 40 minutes away).
